LAGESZABOiNTERIORS

Welcome to my Interior design work.
Interior Design – Master's (online, De Montfort University, 2023). No professional jobs, no clients, no portfolio tricks. Just a couple of projects from the Masters Degree – two imaginary projects and one real: the last one, my mum's Granite House. Three floors. Tall ceilings, dark corners, cold tiles, granite walls, dark woods.
I've measured her tiny kitchen, sketched in her living room, lit it with whatever bulbs she had, measured the walls and every corner. Mocked it up on my laptop, printed plans on A3, taped them to her walls.
I worked on the dining table, spread plans across the wood, rolled over her post-dinner crumbs. She crossed out my wall colours in pen, wrote 'too grey' next to one. I drew new ones. We laughed, drank tea. Final win: an open kitchen area – slim LED, warm light – so the room feels warmer and cozier.
No real client, no real budget. Just one house, one daughter, one compromise.
"mum's place" wasn't called "Granite House", but I called it because the house It’s a big granite house in a corner, in front of the church. Because it’s big, it’s noticeable. Because it’s granite, it won’t change. Because it’s on the crossroads, it’s part of everything that happens in the village. It doesn’t do anything. It just stays. That’s enough.’ Plain. True.
If you need someone who knows how light fights shadows – hire me. If not, no hard feelings. I'd love to build more. With you.
